Scurry2Bridges Run

The ultimate test of teamwork, stamina and endurance running along this scenic Scottish coastline between Dundee, St Andrews and Edinburgh

WHEN

Saturday 14th June and for some into the early hours of Sunday 15th June 2025

Dundee Riverside walk (a 3 mile long walkway by the Firth of Tay)
FINISH
Edinburgh Silverknowes promenade (a 3 mile long stretch of promenade by the Firth of Forth)

The Race

Open to all runners – see rules and regulations in our downloadable team pack for further information.

Team members will take turns to cover the 161km’s with one person from each team running a stage at anyone time. The rest of the team will navigate and drive to the next changeover and so on for 16 stages. Each runner must complete a stage before the first runner restarts in rotation completing 2-4 stages each of between 4 and 13km and totalling 35km to 45km per runner in a team of 4.

The runner will pass over the team timing chip at each stage changeover.

How far can your team run before darkness falls? 

Head torches and high viz required after sunset. Reflective route signage will mark the route for those sections run in the dark.

Enter your team through Entry Central

When you enter you:

Create a team name or club name

Appoint a team lead or captain

Fill out each team members individual contact details

Record each team members approx. 10km time e.g. 42 minutes, 58 minutes etc. An average will be taken for your team in order to work out your best start time.

 Registration 2 05.15 -06.30am

Race starts – Sunrise 6.00am to 6.30am*

*Your race start will depend on your average team 10km time

11.30am – Expected first runners reaching stage 8 

6.00pm – Expected first runners crossing the finishline

8.50pm – head torches and high viz to be worn by all runners after dark

02.30am – Expected last finisher crosses the finishline

Please email info@scurryevents.co.uk if you think this would be an ultra-run you would wish to attend and add in any evidence that you feel you are ready to take on such a challenge.

We ask that your team are able to run within an average pace of 7.00 minutes per km or 11 minutes per mile. Runners must record on sign up a 10km time in the past 2 years of less than 1hr 10 minutes for a mixed terrain run. 

Runners must be 18 years or older (runners under 18 can apply by specific request to info@scurryevents.co.uk  and will need a parent in the team and alongside after dark).
